Meetings are on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. They
make local donations as well as to the Children Youth Fund and Veterans
Rehab. They also do community service work, provide military funerals when
requested and display the Avenue of Flags at the cemetery. Last years
donations were in excess of $15,000. They give school medal awards and
savings bonds.
The Legion and Auxiliary sponsor the local baseball team.

Lions Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center.
An evening meal is served. The Lions Club sponsors local baseball
teams, makes several donations to community groups/projects and awards 2 $1,000 scholarships to
local students every year. Projects include Lions
Club Auction, Fall Fun Fest Booth, Candy Day,
collection of eyeglasses and buy eyeglasses for needy children.

The Mission Statement of the Wayne County Farm Bureau is to maintain a
strong, well organized association of farmers dedicated to sounding a

Hannah House Museum, S. First and Center streets, is open each Saturday,
April through October, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by appointment (except
Memorial Day weekend). It houses local memorabilia from the 1930's
to recently, including military, civic, oil, Shelton gang, political,
medical, sports, church and local community displays. Admission is
free. The early History Museum Room in the Fairfield Public Library
, containing items from the 1800's through the 1920's, is closed until
September, 2011 for exhibit renovation. Society membership is open
to any interested person for $10 per year or $400 lifetime.
Memberships and donations (both tax-deductible) fund museums and
programs. This is volunteer-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)3
organization.
